I just happened upon your channel when searching for reactions AGAIN to the Cranberries, Linger. Yeah I also have trouble interpreting the video but there was a comment from your reaction that sounded plausible. I think that you might enjoy reacting to Tom Jones on the Ed Sullivan show singing Delilah. He does some amazing things with his powerful voice, the orchestra has a Mexican sound with a great horn section, the conductor is having fun and the lyrics get a bit dark with a crime of passion. Tom was a handsome young man that certainly had sex appeal with many women swooning over him and often tossed their undergarments onto the stage at his live shows. I liked his voice but never became a fan. Perhaps the young me was a little jealous of how much the ladies loved him. LOL

I saw the Powerslave tour back in the 80's. Amazing. I was in high school. This show is basically a re-do of that tour. Many Maiden songs are inspired by history, poetry, films...etc. Most written by bassist Steve Harris.

Loved Your reaction, The first time I heard it i was working so it was on in the background, i had to stop working and restart the song because it felt liek someone hit me in the gut. His voice and the way he is portraying the message. So beautiful. I knew exactly what the lyrics were and what they meant when I was a teen when this song came out- it was an outlet song for me and my mental health. Love all versions of this song. You should check out Papa Roach performing this song with Jeris Johnson. Its also really good- more like the original.

One of the most beautiful pieces of music I know of is Giovanni Pergolesi’s 1735 masterpiece, "Stabat Mater”, based on a 13th Century sacral hymn about Mary mourning the crucifixion. “Stabat Mater Dolorosa” is the first and best known movement of that piece. This is my favorite version. The piece is written for soprano and contralto. Floor Jansen, who normally performs in the soprano range, takes the contralto line here, without any loss of power or clarity. They did this in the middle of a thunderous show by Simone Simons' symphonic rock band Epica. I love how they reduce a stadium full of amped up metalheads to stunned silence.
